Koh Chang is Thailand's second-largest island, out east near the Cambodian border and far less developed than Phuket or Samui. Most of it is rainforest and national park, with waterfalls like Klong Plu and a string of west-coast beaches. White Sand Beach has the most going on; the southern bays stay sleepy. Good for Muslim families who want nature over nightlife, with seafood and a few halal spots near the main beaches.
